As a student at St. Augustine Prep, Coach Ward was an individual state finalist and captain of two Non-Public B State Championship teams. He was also a recipient of the Father Vincent Altimare Award and earned four varsity letters in baseball.
Following his Prep career, Coach Ward was a four-year starter and two-year captain at Drexel University.
As a coach at St. Augustine, Coach Ward has built one of the most successful programs in South Jersey. Under his leadership, the Hermits have won 13 Cape-Atlantic League titles, 13 District Championships, and 8 South Jersey Non-Public A Championships. His teams consistently finish ranked among the top 20 in the state.
Individual accomplishments under Coach Ward’s leadership include:

Coach Ward and his wife, Valarie—who also serves as an Assistant Admissions Administrator at St. Augustine Prep—have five children: Katie, Billy, Abby, Tyler, and Luke.
