St. Augustine Prep proudly honors the legacy of its outstanding athletes, coaches, and teams at the Athletics Hall of Fame Celebration. This special evening brings our community together to reflect on the traditions, memories, and achievements that continue to shape Prep athletics.
The 2026 Hall of Fame Dinner honored our most recent inductees, celebrating their time at the Prep and their lasting impact on the Hermit Brotherhood.
St. Augustine Prep proudly welcomed the Hermits Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2026 back to Richland on Saturday, March 21, as alumni, family, and friends gathered in Rodio Gymnasium to celebrate an outstanding group of athletes, coaches, and community leaders.
The evening recognized accomplishments that span decades of Hermits Athletics — from record-setting performances and championship moments to the individuals who helped elevate the Prep’s athletic tradition to where it stands today.
But as the night unfolded, one theme rose above the statistics, accolades, and achievements:
The Brotherhood.
Throughout the evening, inductees spoke not only about their own journeys, but about the teammates, coaches, and mentors who shaped them — and the deep sense of connection that continues long after their playing days have ended.
That spirit was perhaps best captured by Ed Charlton ’11, one of the most accomplished baseball players in program history. As he reflected on his time at the Prep, Charlton spoke with genuine admiration for his fellow inductees — including his classmate, Isaiah Morton ’11, the school’s all-time leading scorer in basketball.
Charlton recalled what it was like to stand in the student section as a member of the Richland Rowdies, cheering for Morton during his record-breaking career. He spoke about the pride he felt then — and the pride he still carries today — even imagining the day he will tell his grandchildren that he had the opportunity to watch Morton play.
That same sense of Brotherhood was evident throughout the evening. During his tribute video, Pete Dandrea ’09 sat with fellow Hermit Brother and 2024 Hall of Famer Jack Crawford ’08, the two sharing a moment before Dandrea made his way to the stage to deliver one of many heartfelt speeches throughout the night.
It was a powerful reminder that, even among some of the most accomplished athletes in school history, the defining characteristic was not individual success — but how deeply they supported one another.
That same sentiment echoed throughout the night. Across different eras, sports, and experiences, inductees consistently pointed back to the same idea:
There are no egos. There is only Brotherhood.
Whether they competed side by side or years apart, each inductee spoke to a shared bond — one built through competition, strengthened through respect, and carried forward long after graduation.
The impact of this year’s class extends far beyond their individual accomplishments. Their success helped elevate the reputation of Hermits Athletics, drawing alumni back to campus, filling the stands, and strengthening the pride that continues to define the Prep community.
Just as importantly, their example continues to inspire the next generation of Hermits. The scholar-athletes of today now look to these men not only for what they achieved, but for how they carried themselves — as teammates, competitors, and members of the Brotherhood.
The Hall of Fame Dinner is more than a celebration of elite scholar-athletes. It is a reflection of what makes St. Augustine Prep unique: a community rooted in shared experiences, mutual respect, and lifelong connections.
On a night dedicated to honoring the past, one thing was clear — the Brotherhood remains as strong as ever, and its impact continues to shape the future of St. Augustine Prep.
