Athletic Facilities
St. Augustine Prep boasts state-of-the-art athletic facilities designed to support a wide range of sports and physical activities.
Our campus features:
- Athletic Training Facilities: St. Augustine Prep provides two full weight and athletic training facilities on campus. The Buondonno Forum houses a fully-equipped weight room and ERG room with the Navone Training Center providing an indoor turf facility and fully-equipped weight room.
- 2 Multi-Sport Gymnasiums: The Paul A. Rodio Gymnasium is a fully equipped athletic facility with a basketball court, weight training room, and multiple modern locker rooms. Augustinian Hall houses Spina Gymnasium, a multi-sport facility that includes two full locker rooms and a basketball court that doubles as the home of our fencing, volleyball, and wrestling programs.
- Aquatic Center: The Navone Pool, an indoor olympic-sized swimming pool that supports our competitive swim team and is also used for physical education classes and recreational swimming. This facility also includes an elevated spectator viewing area for meets and practices.
- Hockey Rink: Hollydell Ice Arena in Sewell, NJ is the official home for our highly competitive hockey program. The facility offers our hockey players year-round training and competitive play.
- Turf Field: The Fr. Stephen J. LaRosa Turf Field is equipped for varsity and sub-varsity football, lacrosse, and soccer, maintained to the highest standards to ensure optimal playing conditions.
- Multi-Sport Grass Fields: Multiple grass fields, including Goralski Field on the west side of campus is set-up for varsity and sub-varsity soccer, lacrosse, and football. Each of these grass fields are maintained to the highest standards to ensure optimal playing conditions.
- 2 Varsity Level Baseball Fields: Levari Field and Alumni Field are professionally designed playing fields for baseball, complete with dugouts and spectator seating.
- Tennis Complex: A multi-court complex is located next to the Navone Training Center for practice and matches.
These facilities not only cater to our competitive sports teams but also provide all students with opportunities to engage in physical fitness and recreational activities, promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.
Alumni Field, once the primary stage for Hermits Baseball varsity competition, now serves as the proving ground for the program’s next generation of talent.
This well-maintained facility continues to play a vital role in the development of future Hermits, hosting sub-varsity games, practices, and summer training. Steeped in tradition, Alumni Field remains an important part of the program’s legacy — where tomorrow’s champions take their first steps toward the Prep’s storied baseball success.
Spina Gymnasium is a versatile athletic facility named in honor of Founding Faculty Member Anthony J. Spina, whose legacy helped shape the early foundation of St. Augustine Prep.
This multi-sport space features a full basketball court and two fully equipped locker rooms, serving as the home venue for the school’s fencing, volleyball, and wrestling programs. Whether hosting competitions or daily practices, Spina Gym embodies the Prep’s commitment to excellence, tradition, and well-rounded athletic development.
The Fr. Stephen J. LaRosa, O.S.A. Turf Field is a premier multi-sport venue at St. Augustine Prep, serving as a hub for Hermits Football, Soccer, Lacrosse, and Rugby.
Designed for versatility and performance, the field features a professional-grade playing surface ideal for year-round training and competition. Whether under Friday night lights or during weekend tournaments, the LaRosa Turf Field supports the Prep’s tradition of athletic excellence across multiple programs — all while honoring the legacy of former President, Fr. LaRosa, whose impact on the school community continues to be felt very deeply.
Goralski Field, located on the west side of campus, is the primary home of the nationally recognized Hermits Rugby program.
The field also serves as a competition and practice venue for sub-varsity soccer and lacrosse. Part of a network of meticulously maintained grass fields across campus, Goralski Field supports both varsity and sub-varsity soccer, lacrosse, and football. Each field is cared for to the highest standards, ensuring safe, top-quality playing surfaces that match the level of athletic excellence expected at St. Augustine Prep.
The Hermits Tennis Complex provides a dedicated space for training, competition, and skill development for the Prep’s tennis program.
Featuring multiple well-maintained courts, the complex offers student-athletes a focused environment to sharpen their technique, compete at a high level, and build camaraderie through the sport. As with all athletic facilities at St. Augustine Prep, the Tennis Complex reflects a commitment to excellence, discipline, and Hermit Pride on and off the court.
The Hermits Wrestling Room is a dedicated training space honoring the legacy of one of St. Augustine Prep’s most accomplished and storied programs.
Equipped with competition-grade mats, the facility serves as the foundation for the Hermits Wrestling program — a place where discipline, resilience, and Brotherhood are built daily.
Levari Field is the proud home of Hermits Baseball, a program with a storied tradition and three New Jersey Non-Public A state championships — in 2011, 2018, and most recently in 2024. Professionally designed and maintained to championship standards, the field (alongside adjacent Alumni Field) is equipped with dugouts, manicured turf, and dedicated spectator seating. Serving as both a game-day hub and daily training ground, Levari Field stands as a testament to the program’s elite athletic heritage and Hermit Pride.
The Navone Pool is St. Augustine Prep’s indoor, Olympic-sized swimming facility, serving as both a training ground and competitive arena for perennial state power, Hermits Swimming.
Known for producing championship-caliber athletes and consistently strong performances at the state level, the swim program thrives in this state-of-the-art space. In addition to supporting interscholastic competition, the Navone Pool is also used for physical education classes and recreational swimming. The facility features an elevated spectator viewing area, offering fans and families a clear view of meets and practices — all within an environment that fosters excellence, discipline, and Hermit Pride.
Rodio Gymnasium is a fully equipped athletic facility and the proud home of Hermits Basketball.
Named in honor of legendary Coach Paul A. Rodio ’70 P'09 '11 G'25, New Jersey’s all-time winningest high school basketball coach, the gym reflects a tradition of excellence, discipline, and Brotherhood. The facility features a regulation basketball court, a state-of-the-art weight training room, and multiple modern locker rooms — serving as a daily training ground and game-day venue for countless Hermit athletes. Rodio Gym is more than a space — it’s a symbol of the Prep’s athletic pride and enduring legacy.
