Affording St. Augustine Prep

St. Augustine Prep's transformational life & tuition assistance program.

We are committed to providing a quality, personalized, values-based education for qualified and deserving students. Ever mindful of the serious question surrounding affordability, the entire school community is proud and supportive of the Keep Them In Blazers program.

Unlike other private institutions where financial aid is funded by large endowments, St. Augustine Prep is blessed with annual support and philanthropy from benefactors, alumni, family, and friends, all committed to Keep Them In Blazers – the school’s life and financial aid program.

In order to be considered for aid, families must complete the online Clarity Financial Aid Application and meet specific deadlines. The amount of assistance granted is determined by the Financial Aid Committee and is based on several factors including the total funds available and the number of qualified applicants.

Forms submitted to the Financial Aid Committee are held in strict confidence. Families who receive grants are required to sign a confidentiality agreement. If responsibility for tuition remission is shared, each responsible party must complete an assistance application.

Grant Notification Dates

Applied Candidates (and enrolled students with prospective siblings) will be notified in early January 2026. 

St. Augustine Prep’s Scholarship Exam held annually in November. Please click here for information.

Known as the “Head of School Scholarship Exam,” this assessment serves as a baseline for consideration for potential scholarships. All current 7th and 8th Grade students applying to the Prep (for Grades 8 and 9) are welcome to take part in the evening. Families should be reminded that participation in the exam is not required for admittance to St. Augustine Prep.

Head of School Scholarships for Grades 9-12 are valued between $4,000 and $40,000 ($1,000 to $10,000 annually) and are awarded at the discretion of St. Augustine Preparatory School.

For our eighth grade, 6 Head of School Scholarships valued at $1000 will be awarded at the discretion of St. Augustine Preparatory School.

Merit-based awards are assigned to incoming freshmen who have achieved excellence throughout their academic and co-curricular careers. Since an Augustinian education encompasses the whole person, well-rounded students will be in an advantageous position to compete for consideration.

Merit-based awards are four-year awards. These young men must demonstrate through their completed application how they will contribute to our school’s Augustinian values of Truth, Unity, and Love.

Annual & Endowed Named Scholarships

In most cases, Named Scholarships are awarded to the families of incoming students to lower their annual tuition payments and remain with them throughout their years at St. Augustine Prep. More than 30 donors sponsor Keep Them in Blazers Named Scholarships. Donors designate these scholarships to students with particular needs, interests, or passions. There are two types of Named Scholarships: Annual and Endowed.
