8th Grade Program

St. Augustine Prep’s 8th-grade program provides a dynamic and supportive environment where young men begin their journey toward academic excellence, personal growth, and leadership development.

Rooted in Augustinian values, our program nurtures intellectual curiosity, faith, and brotherhood while preparing students for the challenges and opportunities of high school and beyond.

Our comprehensive curriculum blends rigorous academics, hands-on learning, and character formation, ensuring each student is engaged, challenged, and inspired. Small class sizes, dedicated faculty, and a focus on individualized learning empower our young men to develop confidence, critical thinking skills, and a lifelong love of learning.

Beyond the classroom, 8th-grade students are immersed in the full Prep experience, including participation in extracurricular activities, off-campus educational experiences and faith-formation. Whether competing in academic challenges, taking part in service initiatives, or preparing for high school-level coursework, our students are encouraged to explore their potential and embrace their role as future servant leaders.

St. Augustine Prep’s 8th-grade program is more than just a transition—it is the beginning of a transformative journey that shapes young men into faith-filled scholars, compassionate servant leaders, and dedicated members of the Hermits Brotherhood.

Veritas

Truth takes root in the small moments — a question asked, a new idea explored, a perspective shifted. In their first year at the Prep, 8th grade students begin developing the confidence to think critically and the courage to seek what’s real and right. Guided by teachers who challenge and support them, they start building a lifelong relationship with Truth — one grounded in curiosity, reflection, and the pursuit of deeper understanding.

Unitas

Brotherhood begins early at the Prep. For 8th graders, that first year is about finding your place in a community built on trust, respect, and shared purpose. Whether it’s collaborating in the classroom, bonding through co-curriculars, or showing up for one another in small everyday moments, students learn that unity isn’t just a value — it’s a lived experience that shapes who they are and how they lead.

Caritas

In the Augustinian tradition, love is expressed through service — seeing Christ in others and responding with compassion. For 8th graders, this begins with small acts: helping a classmate, supporting a cause, or showing kindness in daily interactions. At the Prep, students learn that Caritas isn’t just about feeling love — it’s about living it. Through community service, spiritual growth, and daily practice, they begin to understand love as a call to action rooted in faith.

St. Augustine Prep is where young men begin their journey of growth, building a strong foundation for academic excellence, leadership, and brotherhood.
