Nick Sardy '25 celebrates another successful year spearheading the Trex Recycling Challenge at the Prep. Nick's efforts resulted in over 1000 pounds of recyclables being properly managed throughout the school year.
What is sustainability at St. Augustine Prep?
At the Prep, we intentionally teach the importance of preserving the future for generations to come. We educate, motivate, and empower each member of the Hermit Brotherhood to help reduce our collective ecological footprint.
St. Augustine Prep has many ongoing sustainability initiatives designed to reduce our carbon footprint and raise awareness about the importance of conservation, including our:
- bottle-filling water station in the Buondonno Forum
- solar panels constructed throughout the school's 118-acre campus
- Campus recycling initiative powered by the school's Environmental Club
Protecting the environment one Hermit at a time.
Protecting Mother Nature is second nature for the young men of St. Augustine Prep. The Hermit Brotherhood is taught to consider their global impact well beyond their years here in 'Richland's Proud and Peaceful Glen'.
