School Leadership

Fr. Robert J. Murray, O.S.A., Ph.D. has served as the Head of School of St. Augustine Prep since 2017.

The Head of the School is appointed by the Prior Provincial of the Province of St. Thomas of Villanova, in collaboration with the Members Corporation and the Board of Directors. Ordinarily, the Head of School will be a member of the Order of St. Augustine. The Head of School serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the School, applying strategic leadership, vision, and creative thinking in support of the Prep’s mission. In this role he is supported by members of the Leadership Team. The Head of School may enter into and execute, in the name of the Prep, contracts or other instruments necessary to conduct the business affairs of the school. He is primarily responsible for all matters pertaining to academic and student leadership programs, enrollment management, finances, human resources, maintenance of the school’s buildings and campus, and the religious and moral welfare of the students. The Head of School is also responsible for external communications, information technology, alumni relations, and advancement (which includes annual giving, endowment, and planned giving). The Head of School is an ex-officio member of the Board of Trustees and of all committees of the Board.
