Academic Update

Students must monitor their email accounts as teachers will email Google Meet invitations for each class by 8 am tomorrow morning.  

Please contact Mr. Grealis, Dean of Academics (mr.grealis@hermits.com) if you have any questions or if you do not receive Google Meet invitations for all your classes.

Student Life & Athletics Update

All practices and games may proceed as scheduled on Tuesday, January 27th.

Winter program athletes and families should monitor e-mail and other communications from Athletics and/or individual coaches regarding the afternoon and evening practice or game schedule.

Virtual Learning Reminders

• Please take note of the following reminders for Virtual Learning:
• Student attendance is required. (attendance will be taken) 
• Behavior in the virtual classroom should be no different than in the traditional classroom.

• Dress Code: Students must be in a Prep polo or Prep-branded quarter zip/crewneck pullover (NO HOODIES)
• Cameras must be on for the entire class period
• Students should be seated at a table or desk (no lying in bed)

Virtual Learning: Joining Your Classes via Google Meet

Below is a brief step-by-step guide to help you join your virtual classes

How to Join a Google Meet Class

1. Receive Your Calendar Invite

   The night before or early the morning of a Virtual Learning Day, your teacher will send a Google Calendar invite for your scheduled class period. This invite will be delivered via email and will also appear in your Google Calendar.
    

2. Access Google Calendar

   Visit https://calendar.google.com and locate the class period your teacher has scheduled.
    

3. Open the Calendar Event

   Click on the calendar event to view the meeting details.
    

4. Join the Google Meet

   Select the “Join with Google Meet” button. A new window will open, taking you to the virtual classroom.

   Be sure to follow any on-screen prompts, such as granting microphone and camera permissions, then click “Join Now” to enter the meeting.
