St. Augustine Prep and Our Lady of Mercy Academy Bring The Little Mermaid to Life on Stage

The stage came alive at St. Augustine Prep in Richland, New Jersey, as students from the Prep and Our Lady of Mercy Academy partnered to present a vibrant production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid.

From the opening notes to the final curtain call, the performance highlighted the remarkable talent, dedication, and energy of the student performers. With memorable musical numbers, colorful costumes, and engaging choreography, the cast brought the beloved story to life and delivered a performance that had audiences smiling throughout the evening.

Productions like this continue to showcase the strength of the performing arts program at St. Augustine Prep, while also highlighting the meaningful collaboration between the Prep and Our Lady of Mercy Academy. Students from both schools worked together both on stage and behind the scenes, creating a production that reflected months of preparation, creativity, and teamwork.

The production was directed by Corey Critelli, whose leadership and guidance helped our students grow in confidence and stage presence throughout the rehearsal process. In addition to the talented performers on stage, the show featured the work of dedicated student crew members responsible for lighting, staging, and other technical elements that brought the production to life.

For many students, the production was an opportunity not only to perform but also to develop friendships, build confidence, and experience the joy of storytelling through the arts.
