Mission & Ministry Hosts Church Leadership Dinner

On the evening of February 11, 2026, thirty-five students in grades 9–12 at St. Augustine Preparatory School gathered for a special Church Leadership Evening focused on faith, leadership, and discerning one’s vocation within the Catholic Church.

Sponsored by the Office of Mission and Ministry and facilitated by Fr. Jeremy Hiers, O.S.A., Director of Vocations for the Province of St. Thomas of Villanova, the evening began with Evening Prayer in the school chapel, grounding the experience in reflection and community.

Following prayer, students and faculty moved to the dining hall, where the Prep dining hall staff prepared a shared meal that fostered conversation and fellowship. During dinner, students were invited to submit questions about religious life, Church leadership, and vocational discernment.

Responding to those questions were members of the Prep's Augustinian community, including Head of School Fr. Robert J. Murray, O.S.A., Fr. Tony Burrascano O.S.A., Fr. Francis Devlin O.S.A., and Bro. David Graber M.SS.CC., who offered insight into their own journeys of faith, ministry, and service.

Students were encouraged to remain open to God’s call in their lives and to continue praying for guidance — whether that path leads to ordained ministry, religious life, or faithful leadership within their communities.

Events like this reflect St. Augustine Prep’s commitment to forming young men in Veritas, Unitas, and Caritas, helping them grow spiritually while exploring how their gifts may serve the Church and the world.
