Hermits Alumni: Future Physicians Shober ’16 and Campbell ’16 Match into Residency

At St. Augustine Prep, the journey doesn’t end at graduation—it continues to unfold in meaningful and impactful ways.

For two members of the Class of 2016, that journey has reached a significant milestone.

Dale Shober ’16 and Colin Campbell ’16 have officially matched into medical residency programs at Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia Hospital and St. Luke’s University Health Network (Bethlehem Campus), respectively, marking the next step in their paths toward becoming physicians.

Matching into residency is one of the most competitive and defining moments in a medical student’s career—a process that reflects years of academic discipline, clinical training, and personal sacrifice. For Dale and Colin, it represents the culmination of a journey that began in Richland and now continues in two respected healthcare institutions.

Their story is also a reflection of the strength of the Hermit Brotherhood. From their time together at St. Augustine Prep to now pursuing careers in medicine, Dale and Colin exemplify the lifelong connections and shared purpose that define the Prep experience.

In just two months, both will begin their residencies—adding two more names to the growing network of Hermit alumni serving in the medical field.

We are proud to celebrate Dale and Colin on this outstanding accomplishment and look forward to the impact they will make in the years ahead. Their achievements highlight the strength of St. Augustine Prep’s commitment to forming young men prepared for success in fields such as medicine, science, and service.
